A biogas plant is both a biological process and an industrial facility. Stable feed quantity and quality reduce stress on digestion, mixing, pumps, purification and downstream gas equipment.
Operators should track process indicators and equipment condition together rather than treating maintenance as only a mechanical schedule.

The exact plan follows plant technology and OEM requirements, but disciplined routines generally cover the following areas.
- Feedstock inspection, preparation and dosing

Daily logs, alarms, laboratory results, maintenance history and gas-quality data help identify drift before it becomes lost production. A useful O&M system connects each intervention to the process condition and output that triggered it.
